Kirkwood Hospice – Drop-In Days
Patients and carers have access to information about the disease, treatment and available services in the local area. There is also access to the internet and other sources of information, as well as opportunities for peer support.

Multiple Sclerosis Society – Carers Network Wales
MS Carers Network Wales is a one-to-one telephone and email befriending service, which offers carers a series of regular calls or emails. Carers are matched with trained volunteers and a time is arranged for the calls or emails to be made.

Phyllis Tuckwell – Share ‘n’ Care
The service offers carers access to a wide range of information, as well as opportunities to talk to members of the multi-disciplinary team. Short talks are given on topics such as nutrition, manual handling and complementary therapies.

Sue Ryder Care–Leckhampton Hospice – Carers Support Group
The Carers Group provides carers with the opportunity to meet other carers and share experiences of caring. They can discuss concerns about preparing for the progression of the illness. Hospice staff and visiting speakers are available for information and support.

St Christopher’s Hospice – 90-Minute Group
There are six weekly sessions, on topics such as medication and diet, financial support and managing stress. At beginning of each session, carers share their individual experiences. Publications are available during the sessions.

St Christopher’s Hospice – Planning for Change Seminars
A seminar on financial information is held for carers. It focuses on topics such as social security benefits and grants, employment issues and debts, mortgages and pensions.

St Michael’s Hospice – Saturday Club
The Saturday Club is about helping young carers to express concerns and develop coping strategies. It runs once a month and involves art, craft and play activities, and individual and group discussions.
