For Carers
The Caring for Carers pack is a support and information guide for carers of people with terminal illnesses. It consists of a series of short leaflets, including information on money matters, caring at home and nursing.
The Young Carers section of the carers pack is also available as a standalone guide. The section includes information on health issues, problems at school and finding further help and support.
Caring Counts is a 20-page booklet for people who care for someone who has been diagnosed with a life-limiting disease. Hospices have produced customised versions of the booklet, with some local information. You can download local information pages.
The flexible working booklets have been developed by Working Families and Help the Hospices. There are two booklets - one for carers and one aimed at employers - which focus on juggling work and a short-term caring responsibility.
When caring comes to an end, developed by Carers UK in partnership with Help the Hospices and ACE National, is for people whose caring role has ended or is about to end.
For Professionals
The Carers' Services Guide is a useful resource for organisations planning to set up support services for carers of the terminally ill. It includes helpful tips and case studies.
